Notice to all Prospective C.A.R.E. EMPLOYMENT Clients
The Fair Trading Amendment (Employment Placement Services) Act 2002 and Fair Trading (General) Amendment (Employment Placement Services) Regulation Act 2003 requires that a person who provides employment placement services must, before providing those services to a person seeking employment (a job seeker), give the job seeker a written notice that sets out the following statements
A person who provides employment placement services must not charge a job seeker a fee for the purpose of finding the job seeker employment A person who provides employment placement services must not engage in misleading or deceptive conduct (such as advertising a position as being available when the person knows no such position exists or knowingly giving misleading information to a job seeker about the nature of a position. If a job seeker believes that a person has acted inappropriately in the course of providing employment placement services, the seeker may contact the Department of Fair trading for information on possible action that may be taken
