Employment Consultants work with clients to develop individual employment plans (IEP). The IEP is a document which is used to record goals and activities that are undertaken to help people reach their employment goals.

The IEP is a useful way of developing a plan, maintaining and tracking progress. Both the client and the Employment Consultant sign the IEP, as it is an agreement that sets out each person's responsibilities. A copy of the IEP is given to the client and it is reviewed every 6 weeks.

Our services are structured to help individuals-

          CHOOSE the right job.

This can include a vocational assessment, looking at skills and strengths and what sort of environment would suit an individual needs.

          GET the job.

This includes assistance and guidance with job searching, writing applications, interviewing skills, accessing training if required and work experience.

          KEEP the job.

There are 2 services that are included at this point in your return to work:
'Job Maintenance' and 'Job Rescue'.

Job Maintenance

In addition to prevocational training and job search assistance C.A.R.E. EMPLOYMENT also provides employment assistance to people who are working and managing their mental health. This is called the Job Maintenance Program and it is a unique service for people who have found work and want to maintain their current employment. An Employment Consultant is available to discuss any work issues that might arise as well as provide on-going support for the worker.

We can offer an assesment of the current work environment and develop a work plan that  both the employee and the employer can benefit from. We can also provide education to management and staff on mental health issues.

Job Rescue

Job Rescue is a service that provides assistance to people who are experiencing difficulty maintaining their current employment due to their mental health. Often, this can involve critical intervention including facilitating effective communication, negotiation with employer, assisting with training and advocacy where needed.
